MTI Opts Not to Run in the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout

Anyone who follows the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Central Missouri on a regular basis has likely noticed an obvious void in the 28th annual event—the fact that the MTI crew is not running in the event.

MTI and the organizers of the Shootout put together this fitting tribute to Prince and Dunphy on short notice.

Following the tragic accident on Friday evening of one the most well-known MTI family members—Louisiana’s Richie Prince—the Wentzville, Mo., company released this statement on Saturday evening.

“The MTI community is saddened by the deaths of Richard ‘Richie’ Prince and Bradley Dunphy, who passed away yesterday following a tragic accident on Lake of the Ozarks. We have elected not to participate in this weekend’s Shootout activities so we could devote our time and energy attending to the needs of their families and friends at this very difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. May the Lord rest the souls of Richie and Brad in eternal peace.”

The thoughts and prayers of speedonthewater.com and the rest of the performance boat community are with their families and friends, and well as the entire MTI family.
