MTI Prepares for Big-Time Fun at Texas Outlaw Challenge

With one of the biggest poker runs of the year just a few weeks away, the crew at Marine Technology Inc. (MTI), as well as many of the Wentzville, Mo., company’s customers, are working hard to get ready for the Texas Outlaw Challenge (June 19-22).

Once again, a fleet of MTIs will be a part of the Texas Outlaw Challenge‘s “premier” poker run stop, aka party, at Kenny Armstrong’s property on Friday.

Between delivering new boats, assisting customers, preparing for various gatherings in and around Clear Lake, and maybe even enjoying a little boating, all kinds of people affiliated with MTI—from owner Randy Scism and sales and marketing manager Tim Gallagher to local dealer Bruce Bullock and local MTI customer Kenny Armstrong—stay extremely busy throughout the long weekend.

“This run is a favorite of everyone here at MTI, and this year promises to be a top event again,” Gallagher said in a release on the MTI site. “If you haven’t already, make sure you get signed up for this event.”

Home to Bullock Marine, Endeavour Marina in Seabrook is where it all starts, according to Gallagher. Once again, Bruce Bullock has coordinated with the crew at the waterfront restaurant Sams Boat—the same place MTI kicked off the event last year with Mario Williams’ new 446 cat Big Bad Wolf on display (read the story)—to host an MTI welcome party on Thursday evening that is open to everyone.

Gallagher recommended Endeavour Marina for anyone looking to launch via forklift. He said MTI has several slips reserved at the marina’s docks just for MTI boats.

On Friday, Armstrong—the owner of the 48 MTI Phantom—will open up his amazing waterfront property as the first “premier” stop of the poker run. Basically it’s a Texas-sized pool party you need to see to believe. Armstrong’s home has become somewhat of an MTI staging area since he has his own launch ramp and a crane available to get Phantom and other boats in and out of the water.
