MYCO Trailers’ Tweedie Retiring, New Team Members Named

Headquartered in Bradenton, Fla., MYCO Trailers has been producing innovative, top-quality products for the past 45 years. And for 35 of those years, Bill Tweedie—formerly a partner in the company—has spearheaded the custom trailer manufacturer’s sales and marketing efforts. Though he’ll continue with MYCO in a consulting role, Tweedie is retiring from the company. The news was announced in press from MYCO this afternoon.

Stepping up to help fill the shoes of the well-liked and respected Tweedie are Ronnie Moran and Jon Smiley.

Moran, who has been with MYCO for 14 years, has been named vice president of sales and corporate office manager. She is handling all internal sales and is, according to the release, “the voice most customers hear when requesting a quote, ordering or taking delivery of their trailer, dry rack cradle or boat lift cradle.” With her background in the banking industry, Moran’s organizational skills and attention to detail help keep the office and manufacturing facility running smoothly with product delivery and logistics in check, the release stated.

Smiley, who has more than 20 years of experience in marine product sales and marina management, has joined MYCO’s sales team. Most recently, he was the harbor master for the Sanibel Harbour Yacht Club in Fort Myers, Fla. According to the release, the facility implemented MYCO dry rack cradles during Smiley’s tenure and reduced damage claims “by nearly 100 percent.”
