Mystic Adding First ‘Recreational Fish’ Package To M4200 Center Console

Although a Mystic Powerboats M4200 luxury center console never will be a hardcore fishing machine, the DeLand, Fla.-based company currently is completing its first 42-footer with what company representative Scott Sjogren called its “Recreational Fish” package. The angling-specific option consists of five rod holders on each gunwale, removable rod-holder hardware on the transom, a live-well under the rear bench seat, an in-sole fish locker and outrigger wiring in the hardtop.

According to Sjogren, Mystic’s RF package option was customer driven.

“Since we started the center console we knew we were never going to do a full-blown tournament fish boat—we just wanted to create the Range Rover of center consoles,” he said. “One of our customers saw the M4200 and fell in love with it but he said, ‘I have to be able to fish it. If I can’t fish it, I can’t buy it.’ So that’s how we came up with the package.”

The 42-footer was painted by Stephen Miles Design. Watch the graphics package emerge in the slideshow above.

Powered by triple Mercury Marine Verado 350 outboard engines and decked out in a Stephen Miles Design paintjob, the first M4200 with the RF package will be on display—with two other Mystic models—at the 2017 Miami International Boat Show. The option also will be offered on Mystic’s M3800 center console, which the company will debut at the 2017 West Palm Beach International Boat Show in March.
