Mystic C3800 Center Console Sales Gathering Momentum

With production slots booked through November, Mystic Powerboats M3800 luxury performance center console reportedly is becoming a hot ticket for the Deland, Fla., high-performance center and catamaran builder. According Greg Weber, the company’s director of sales and dealer development, Mystic has sold six 38-footers to date—and M4200 sales remain strong enough for the company to have production slots for the larger center console model filled for several months.

Of the six M3800s sold, four have been ordered with triple Mercury Marine Verado 350 outboard engines and two have been ordered with triple Mercury Racing Verado 400R outboards. The builder also just took its first order for an M3800 with the popular Seakeeper gyroscopic stabilization system.

The first 38-footer was delivered to a Missouri-based Lake of the Ozarks-area buyer in May.

“The 38 is getting some legs for us,” said Weber. “It’s getting some really good traction now. The gentlemen who bought the first one absolutely loves it. I talked to him about a week ago, and he told me he will order another one with the Seakeeper system.

“I think the Seakeeper system is going to become like bow thrusters now in bigger center consoles,” he continued. “These days, if you’re boat doesn’t have a bow thruster it hurts resale value. A few years down the road, I think having a Seakeeper system will help a bunch in secondary markets.”
