Scheduled to debut alongside a new 44-foot catamaran (read the latest story), Mystic Powerboats‘ M3900 luxury performance center console is continuing to take shape. With the first hull out of the mold and sea-trialed for the first time and deck No. 1 complete, the DeLand, Fla., catamaran and V-bottom is in the middle stages of creating, styling and developing the hardtop for the 39-footer.

“We are projecting that with the carbon fiber and epoxy layup the top will be in 300-pound range,” said Scott Sjogren of Pier 57 Marine, Mystic’s global dealer, based in Gurnee, Ill. “All speakers will be flush mount. It’s going to be very cool, very stylish and very unique.”

According to Sjogren, the builder already has several orders for the center console, as well as Mystic’s new catamaran. Late next week, he will return to DeLand to join Mystic principal John Cosker for the cat’s first sea trials.
