New Epic 41 SS Center Console In Water at Miami Boat Show

Epic 41 SS

A collaborative effort between former Factory 1 offshore racer Brian Hollis, his partner David Goode and Henley’s Custom Marine in Jupiter, Fla., the new Epic 41 SS will be in the water (at slip #321) during the Miami International Boat Show Feb. 17-20. The custom-built center-console model was unveiled at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in October, 2010.

The boat was built at the Epic Performance Yachts Plant in Flowery Branch, Ga., not far from Lake Lanier. Henley’s handled the installation and rigging of its triple 300-hp Verado outboard engines. According to Hollis, the boat reached 75.6 mph in its first sea trials off West Palm Beach, Fla.

“We ran it as hard as we could in three- to four-footers and never even broke the props loose,” he said.

Base price with triple 300-hp Verado outboards is $350,000.

Editor’s Note: A feature story on the Epic 41 SS will post on Boats.com on Feb. 17.
