New Killer Bee 32 Doug Wright Stock-Class Raceboat Ready For Rigging

Featuring an outstanding paintjob by the team at Doug Harrell Design in Longwood, Fla., the new Killer Bee 32-foot Doug Wright catamaran expected to compete in the Superboat Stock class at the Super Boat International Key West Offshore World Championships in November, is all set to be rigged with its Mercury Racing 300XS engines.

Now, to get the canopied Doug Wright cat ready to hit the water, the boat is in the capable hands of Grant Bruggemann and company at Grant’s Signature Racing in Bradenton, Fla. The boat’s owner, veteran offshore racer Jim Denooyer of New York, turned the 32-footer over to one of the best in the business.

Once ready, Denooyer plans to race Killer Bee with his daughter, Lindsey, a student at the University of Vermont who has always wanted to race, at the wheel. Only time will tell how competitive the newest outboard-powered catamaran entry will be in what is a pretty formidable class, but it is most definitely going to be one of the prettiest boats out there.
