Pier 57 Marine completed the move to its new headquarters in Gurnee, Ill., early this week, according to company principal Scott Sjogren. After the build-out was complete, the move-in from the company’s former facility in nearby Waukegan took just three weeks.

“As of Monday this week, all of our employees were back to doing their normal jobs in our new place,” said Sjogren. “I don’t even know how to begin to thank my staff for what they did. They really hustled to make this happen.

“The new place is awesome,” he added. “The service center is incredible. It’s about 5,000 square feet and has all the things we knew we needed like a new engine hoist, a better-organized parts center, better lighting, segmented strip drains in the floor and a dual high-pressure water system.”

Sjogren said that all of the offices in the plant are finished and that the Pier 57 signage is in place. He added that new facility will help drive and improve Pier 57’s business in the coming year.

“In 2013, we will really focus on driving sales, continuing to create value for consumers and providing great customer service, and staying profitable,” he concluded.
