New SOTW Digital Mag: Special Miami International Boat Show Edition—Download Today
When speedonthewater.com set up an invitational photo shoot during the 2019 Miami International Boat Show to capture aerial images of some of the most compelling boats at the show—a few great ones ended up dock-locked so they weren’t included—it was done so to gather content for both the bi-monthly digital magazine and our annual Year In Review collectible print edition.

And that’s exactly what happened as nine boat show beauties are prominently featured in the new January/February 2019 Speed On The Water digital magazine, which you can download for free here. With boats from Cigarette Racing Team, MTI, Mystic Powerboats, Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats, Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats, Technohull and Wright Performance, the digital magazine includes more highlighted boats from Miami than any issue we’ve produced before.
And although it wasn’t intended to be a special Miami International Boat Show edition from the start, the magazine morphed into a full issue dedicated to news from the show. Along with the featured boats, there is a product spotlight on the new HarborHoist boat lift system that was announced at the show, three standout products in our Gear section, a list of news items in Hot Sheet and—thanks to interviews from the show—a feature on the Dubai-based Victory Team’s plans to introduce 34- and 27-footers to the United States sport catamaran market.
The issue does have a few things that aren’t boat show related, including On Scene features from the Joey Gratton Memorial New Year’s Day Fun Run and Florida Powerboat Club’s Winter Poker Run, a must-read column from Shaun Torrente on his quest to defend his F1 H2O world championship and a closer look at two well-known Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats owners who have created a couple of must-attend wintertime events for their friends in Wyoming and Toronto.
