New SOTW Digital Magazine: Mystics Dominate Ozarks, Catching Up With Racing Legends And More

Featuring a couple of canopied Mystic Powerboats catamarans on the cover—the completely updated turbine-powered Good Boy Vodka and the now seven-time Lake of the Ozarks Shootout overall Top Gun winner, Don Onken’s American Ethanol—the latest Speed On The Water digital magazine is now available to download.

The new issue includes an in-depth look at the 2021 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout as well coverage of a dozen other late-summer events, including Skaterfest, the Lake Champlain Poker Run, LEOPA’s Thunderfest Poker Run, the Waves and Wheels End Of Summer Fun Run and more.

The magazine also is highlighted by a profile on the expansive 500 Super Sport Crossover from Formula Boats that is powered by quad Mercury Marine Verado 600 V-12 outboard engines. Speedonthewater.com test driver John Tomlinson of TNT Custom Marine got to run the boat and provided his feedback on how the 50-footer responds with the new 600-hp outboards.

Speedonthewater.com editorial team member Eric Colby also caught up with two legendary offshore racers—Michigan’s Bob Kaiser, who retired more than 20 years ago but still enjoys go-fast boating as he currently owns three MTI pleasure boats, and New Jersey’s Jay Muller, the longtime throttleman for Billy Mauff’s WHM Motorsports team who has been racing for more than 30 years and shows no signs of slowing down.

Both stories are insightful—as is the commentary from Shaun Torrente, who provides his take on the keys to establishing a winning culture when it comes to boat racing and business.
