Nobody’s Business Returning To Competition In Englewood Beach

With designs on competing throughout 2020, the newly formed Offshore Powerboat Association Pro Stock V-class Nobody’s Business team of owner/driver Chris Uzzolina and throttleman Rob Hartmann will share the cockpit of their canopied 30-foot Phantom raceboat later this month at OPA World Championships in Englewood Beach, Fla. Officially entering the Pro Stock V ranks this season, Uzzolina and his former throttleman Mark Rinda ran Nobody’s Business in three of the six American Power Boat Association Offshore Championship Series races this season, as well as the OPA’s own Point Pleasant Beach Grand Prix event, before taking a break from competition to handle personal and professional obligations.

Uzzolina, who lives in North Carolina, and the Connecticut-based Hartmann began discussing partnering for Englewood Beach and the 2020 season earlier this year.

“Rob made his way to North Carolina for a test run, and after a long weekend of successful testing we found we worked well together in the cockpit and decided to finalize our partnership,” said Uzzolina. “He has not only brought his skills to the cockpit but he has also brought a title sponsor, Seachange Yacht Sellers, as well as a local sponsor in Englewood Beach, Allure Boat Rentals, for the 2019 OPA World Championship.”

The Nobody’s Business team has several new and returning sponsors.

While Nobody’s Business crew members Louanne and Allen Campbell—the owners of the 30-footer when it ran as Screamin’ Eagle—and Mikey Koe will remain on the crew, they’ll have a new crew chief in Davin Vesey in 2020. “Davin is a former NASCAR and Indy Car communications specialist and a longtime friend,” said Uzzolina.

In the meantime, Uzzolina, Hartmann and company are preparing the upcoming Englewood Beach event. Pro Stock V is among the OPA’s most competitive classes, and they’ll be sharing the cockpit in a racing environment for the first time.

“We’re excited to return to the race course,” said Uzzolina. “We are looking forward to the battle to become the 2019 OPA Pro Stock V-class world champion.”
