Nor-Tech Delivers Stunning 477 Super Vee To Michigan Buyer

Since introducing its first 39-foot high-performance center console in 2009, Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats of Fort Myers, Fla., has successfully focused most of its energy on developing an entire line of center consoles from 34 to 56 feet. But company founders Trond Schou and Nils Johnsen never abandoned their high-performance V-bottom and catamaran roots, as witnessed by yesterday’s delivery of an immaculate 477 Super Vee to Ron Meyering of Holland, Mich.

Delivered to its owner this week, this Nor-Tech 477 is powered by Mercury Racing 1550/1350 engines and dressed in stunning Visual Imagination graphics (click image to enlarge).

A current Nor-Tech owner, Meyering ordered the 47-footer, which is powered by twin dual-calibration Mercury Racing 1550/1350 engines with No. 8 drives, though Randy Kent at Midwest Boat Center in Osage Beach, Mo. The build took more than a year to complete.

“Another wow-factor that went into the making of this boat was the custom paintjob executed by Mark Morris of Visual Imagination in Missouri,” said Geoff Tomlinson, Nor-Tech’s dealer manager. “Attention to detail from both Nor-Tech and Visual Imagination had to be paid as Ron had some key necessities that he wanted integrated into the design elements.

“Before starting this project, Ron knew that he could go to any manufacturer but chose Nor-Tech due to the personal experience and the overall true craftsmanship that would encompass the build,” he continued. “For Nor-Tech, the 477 Super Vee is a popular model that has proven its pedigree among other high-performance V-bottoms. Nor-Tech owner Trond Schou was eager to build this boat for a repeat customer and also to have the opportunity to build something unique alongside the current production line of center consoles.”
