Nor-Tech Introducing New 45′ and 56′ Center Consoles

The Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats crew is at it again—creating models that put the North Fort Myers, Fla., company in a class of its own. This time around it’s a two-for-one package, well kind of—a new 45-foot and a new 56-foot center console based on a common hull mold.

The recently completed mold for Nor-Tech’s new 56-foot center console can also be used to build the company’s new 45-foot offering.

Terry Sobo, Nor-Tech’s director of sales and marketing, told speedonthewater.com today that the hull mold was completed late last week and that tooling for the deck of the first 45-footer, which will be the hardcore-fishing-inspired 452 Superfish, has begun. With “no fishing amenities whatsoever,” Sobo said, the 450—as well as the 560 “yacht chaser”—will feature a European, yacht-style inspiration.

The first boat should be completed by the end of this summer, and Sobo, who said the company has orders for several boats, can’t wait to see how people react to the added wind protection provided by the new “partially enclosed helm” on both the 45- and 56-foot models.

Obviously the wide 12-foot beam provides ample space below deck for both versions, but the 560’s additional 11 feet in length brings optional staterooms and sleeping areas into play. According to Sobo, an insert goes into the 56-foot mold to create the 45-foot boat. Of course above deck the seating configurations and layouts will vary as well.

Sobo said power options for the 45-footers will include three-, four- and five-outboard packages as well as a pair of 550- to 650-hp diesel engines. The 56-footer is available with twin or triple diesel engine choices.
