Nor-Tech To Unveil 390 Sport CC No. 200 At Fort Lauderdale Show

Introduced in late 2009, Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats’ 390 Sport Center Console marked the beginning of the company’s transition from being a go-fast catamaran and V-bottom builder that offered one performance-oriented center console to a performance-oriented center console builder that still offers, though rarely sells, several go-fast catamarans and V-bottoms. That 39-foot model essentially saved the business and kicked off a line of center consoles from 34 to 56 feet, and to celebrate that milestone the North Fort Myers, Fla., company will display Sport 390 hull No. 200 at this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show Oct. 31-Nov. 4.

Of course, the triple Mercury Racing Verado 400R outboard engine-powered 39-footer, which was ordered by Legend Marine Group in Dallas as an inventory boat and is still available for purchase, will be dressed for the occasion.

“It’s going to have the brand new Club Sport seating arrangement we debuted in the 340 during our dealer meeting last year,” said Geoff Tomlinson, the company’s director of dealer development. “Lumishore has created a special LED lighting for the boat and it has a brand-new, power-operated Sure Shade Bimini top for the rear cockpit. And of course it’s going to have the lastst and great sound system from JL Audio.

Fresh from Nor-Tech’s paint department, the 390 has “200″ ghosted behnd the Nor-Tech name on its rich hullsides.

“It’s a very bright, really pretty blue boat,” said Tomlinson. “It’s stunning, and visitors to the Fort Lauderdale show will get to see it first in person.”
