Old Hickory Fun Run Update: Views from the First Stop

For the past 45 minutes or so, the 70-ish boat fleet at today’s Old Hickory Fun Run in Tennessee was on hold. That was part of the plan for the first stop. We hung out until we got the green light to move, so I dove into the Mystic M3900 center console’s cabin—my ride for the day courtesy of owner Vinnie Foglia to write a quick update. (The 39-footer actually is underway right now and even down here the ride is smooth.)

As you can see from the slideshow below, the long stop was worth it because the views were extraordinary.

Mark Godsey’s Project Mayhem MTI, organizer Chad Collier’s 50-foot Mystic Habitual, John Woodruff’s 48-foot Windship MTI, a trio of stunning Skater 388 catamarans—the hardware here is as good as it gets. And consider that Skaterfest and two Mike Fiore Memorial Poker Runs are happening concurrently today, that’s saying something.
