Performance Boat Center Adding South Florida Location With Doller Acquisition

Performance Boat Center of Osage Beach, Mo., is in the final stages of acquiring Doller Offshore Marine of Hollywood, Fla. While the business will be renamed Performance Boat Center of South Florida, all of the current Doller personnel—including principal Mindi Doller—will be retained and, in fact, the location will be adding sales people and technicians, according to Performance Boat Center’s Brett Manire.

When the deal is complete in the next two to three weeks, Doller Offshore Marine will become Performance Boat Center of South Florida and will carry the Cigarette Racing Team, Sunsation (above) and Wright Performance brands (click image to enlarge).

The deal will include the purchase of the company’s physical assets at its 15,000-square-foot facility, according to Manire. Mindi Doller will become the South Florida location’s sales manager. Longtime marine industry veteran and current key Doller staff member Martin Sanborn will manage its service operations.

“Doller Offshore has the reputation that gives this acquisition the synergy needed to service our customers in South Florida,” said Manire. “Our company motto is, ‘Performance you can trust,’ and with Mindi and Martin we feel we can deliver that. They’re a great fit for us.

“Now we will have full Cigarette Racing Team, Sunsation Powerboats and Wright Performance dealerships, as well as being a certified Mercury Marine and Mercury Racing service center, in South Florida,” he added. “With the new highway location we recently purchased near our Missouri headquarters, we added the Princecraft line of pontoon boats. Eventually, we’ll bring that line to Performance Boat Center of South Florida. We’re also very close to acquiring a large storage facility for our customer’s boats and inventory.”

Doller said she is delighted to be part of the Performance Boat Center team and is looking forward to a different role with the company she guided for much of her adult life.

“Being sales manager, now I’ll get to do what I do best—sell,” she said. “I have been running this business for 20 years. I have taken it through changes and grown the company, and I’ve nurtured our excellent reputation. It’s been my baby. Now I’m ready to step back, just a bit, and focus on sales.

“I think Performance Boat Center can bring this business to an entirely new level,” she continued. “I am excited to be working with Brett and (PBC co-owner) Mark Waddington. They have the same commitment to customer service and satisfaction that we do. I’m excited for our staff and our customers. It’s a great thing.”
