Performance Boat Center Merges with Nauti Marine

In a quest to secure Forecast 2015 series interviews, I caught up with Brett Manire of Performance Boat Center this morning (look for his Forecast on Monday) and he told us some good news that I couldn’t wait to report. Not only has Performance Boat Center signed on as the title sponsor for the 2015 Lake Race (June 4-7) and the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout (Aug. 22-30), the Osage Beach, Mo., dealership and service center just finished a deal merging Dave Scott’s Nauti Marine and Performance Boat Center.

The crew from Nauti Marine have been moving everything over to Performance Boat Center’s new facility this week.

Scott, a resident of Lake of the Ozarks, is the recognizable world champion offshore racer who has won the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout eight times. His shop has been a mainstay at the lake for several years.

“Over the last few months we have been working with Dave Scott and his Crew Chief Myrick Coil on a merge of the two businesses,” Manire said. “This Tuesday we closed on the property, assets and hired the staff of Nauti Marine. They are currently moving tools and equipment over to our service department as we speak.

“Continuing to grow customers’ trust and build our service department is huge for us,” he continued. “We have an amazing group of talented technicians here at PBC, but we wanted to expand. With Nauti Marine’s racing experience, rigging expertise and customer base, we’ll be able to combine our talents and offer the nation’s ‘All Star’ team of performance boat technicians.”

Along with the expansion of the service department, Manire said Performance Boat Center is growing its paint shop as well.

“We are tripling the size of our paint shop with a new semi-truck-sized paint booth and adding staff to help with the workload,” he said. For more of Manire’s commentary, check out his Forecast 2015 on Monday.
