Performance Boat Center Planning Fiore Memorial Fun Run

In honor of Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats founder Mike Fiore, who died two-and-a-half weeks ago from post-surgical complications after he was seriously injured during the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Central Missouri, Performance Boat Center is planning a Memorial Fun for Saturday, Sept. 27, on the lake. An Outerlimits and Statement Marine dealer, as well as a go-fast boat sales, service and storage center, the Osage Beach, Mo., outfit recently completed its state-of-the-art facility. Fiore attended the Thursday night opening party during the Shootout.

The run will start at Performance Boat Center and is slated to begin between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. It will include two stops before heading back to the dealership, which will host post-run festivities including food, drinks and live music.

Performance Boat Center co-owner Brett Manire said he is expecting 30 boats, roughly 15 of which will be Outerlimits models, to participate in the event.

“Our goal is to celebrate Mike Fiore by getting people back out on the water for the day, doing the thing they love in the boats they love,” he said. “It’s our way of celebrating Mike. After the fun run, we hope everyone will come back here for the celebration and share their Outerlimits stories and memories of Mike.”
