Performance Boat Center Sales ‘On Fire’ Across All Brands

As hectic as spring traditionally is for the team at Performance Boat Center, this one could well be the busiest in the full-service, Osage Beach, Mo., powerboat dealership’s 10-plus-year history. According to Brett Manire, who co-owns Performance Boat Center with Mark Waddington, the company has multiple builds in various stages across all the brands it carries.

In advance of the 2019 boating season, the team at Performance Boat Center is working overtime on multiple projects.

“We are finishing up a Cigarette 42X and two more Cigarette 41 GTX center consoles, one with quad Mercury Racing Verado 400R outboard engines and another with triples,” said Manire. “The Sunsation 32 CCX is selling like crazy, we have several of those going, and the Sunsation 40 CCX is coming on strong—we have four of those going. We also have a couple of MTI V-42s in progress and four Wright Performance 360s.

“Business is on fire,” he continued. “Spring is always busy, but all of our departments—service, painting and rigging—are working overtime.”

Performance Boat Center’s rigging department will begin tackling another project, the company’s new MTI Super Cat-class raceboat, next week.

“We should have it done two weeks before the APBA Offshore Championship Series season-opener in Cocoa Beach (Fla.) next month,” said Manire. “We’re tearing our hair out a little bit here, but I keep reminding myself and everyone here that this, being incredibly busy and a little stressed at times, is a really good problem to have.”
