Just 15 days before the Miami International Boat Show, the team at Performance Boat Center (PBC) went to work on painting the latest 36 Super Leggera from Outerlimits Powerboats that the Missouri-based dealership ordered from the Bristol, R.I., boat builder. On the Sunday before the popular boat show, the Performance Boat Center crew loaded up the boat and drove it straight to Miami in time to have it on display.

A few weeks later the 36-footer was back in Missouri and on Lake of the Ozarks for testing. Powered by staggered Mercury Racing 565 engines connected to Mercury’s Integrated Transom System and Bravo One XR drives with SportMaster lower units, the 36 SL topped 100 mph last Friday, according Brett Manire of Performance Boat Center.

In fact, the boat reached 102.8 mph, and Manire said there’s still some dialing in left to do, including adding half-inch spacers and trying different propellers from Mercury.

Manire said the fully loaded boat, which is listed for $389,950 on the company’s website, is currently available for purchase. The 36-footer includes Mercury 380S K-Planes, LED underwater lights, LED bilge and cockpit lights, a Raymarine touchscreen GPS/chartplotter, Livorsi Marine DTS controls, custom Outerlimits bolster seats and a triple-axle trailer.
