Peters & May To Handle Qatar Cup Raceboat Shipping Arrangements

International yacht, powerboat and offshore raceboat shipping logistics leader Peters & May has been named the Official Logistics Partner for the Qatar Cup offshore race slated for 2014, according to a press release from the Qatar Marine Sports Federation. That means the company will handle all transportation arrangements for the boats and equipment of Super Boat International teams competing in the new event hosted by the QMSF, which reportedly will pick up the shipping costs for the teams. “We have a huge amount of cargo to move on a tight deadline,” said Sheikh Hassan bin Jabor Al-Thani, the QMSF president, in a press release from the organization. “Working with shipping timetables and this volume of cargo is not a small job and we needed to work with a company that could meet the challenge. Peters & May’s racing division is the world’s leader in this type of business and our decision was simple.

Neil McKeown, operations manager for Peters & May Racing, which has extensive experience in raceboat shipping, planning and logistics in the Middle East, said the company is looking forward to the project.

“We have demonstrated a commitment to the needs of powerboat racers and teams around the world, and we are proud to have been chosen for this prestigious project,” he said in the release.
