Powerboating For A Cure Opens Registration

Organized by the Mid-Atlantic Powerboat Association, the ninth annual Powerboating For A Cure event scheduled for the weekend of July 7 in Virginia opened registration today. The event benefits Susan G. Komen For The Cure, a nonprofit organization that funds cancer research and awareness programs. Last year, Powerboating For A Cure raised more than $40,000 for the organization.

According to a post on the Powerboating For A Cure Facebook page, the event sold out in less than 10 days in 2016.

“You can sponsor our event and register on our website starting now,” the post stated. “Sponsors of the event will get priority docking slips—if you have a spot you want being a sponsor of the event might help you get it. We are looking forward to another great year. We are sure you will have just as great a time as in previous years.”
