River Dave’s Place Teaming Up with Boostpower USA for Live EFI Webinar

A thriving online community and original editorial content site that’s particularly popular with the West Coast custom performance-boating community, River Dave’s Place is teaming up with noted high-performance marine engine shop BoostPower USA in Newbury Park, Calif., for an educational live Webinar covering the basics of electronic fuel injection. The live Ustream video feed, which will be carried on the River Dave’s site as well as on speedonthewater.com, is set for tomorrow (Jan. 20) at 3 p.m. (PST).

Respected high-performance marine engine builder and Speedboat magazine test team veteran Alexi Sahagian, the owner of Boostpower USA, will lead the 30-minute online presentation, which will be followed by an online question-and-answer session. (Both Riverdavesplace.com and speedonthewater.com will carry the live video stream and chat forum.)

“This is going to be more of a classroom setting so do not expect some overly polished ‘EFI Video,’ wrote Dave Johnson, the founder of River Dave’s Place, in a news release on his website. “It is going to be live and ‘liquid’ so there are going to be some mistakes and some bloopers, I’m sure.

“The current game plan for segment No. 1 is to start with the absolute basics,” he continued. “Anybody with no experience can watch this video and begin to learn about EFI, and by the time all the segments are done in subsequent videos have a comprehensive understanding of how it works. The first segment will be 30 minutes of information, followed by a live question-and-answer session that we will leave open for 30 minutes. The questions can be submitted via the chat window on Ustream.”
