According to reports from friends of the Tripp family, the body of Revolution Performance Marine owner Steve Tripp was finally recovered on Wednesday evening, three weeks after he went missing when his 26-foot catamaran crashed during a test run on the Coosa River in Alabama (read the story). Although details weren’t available (speedonthewater.com will update this story if possible), it appears that the Tripp family finally has some closure.

Tripp, who was beloved by many in the powerboat community, is survived by his wife, Rachel, son, Ryan, and daugthers, Jillian, Megan and Sara.
