Sand and Water Expo Returns to Arizona’s Lake Havasu

The second annual Sand and Water Expo is returning to Lake Havasu City, Ariz., in two weeks (Nov. 2-3).

Recognized as a Mecca for boat, off-road and RV enthusiasts, Lake Havasu City, Ariz., is primed for the return of the largest outdoor motorsports expo in the state as the second annual Sand and Water Expo presented by ProLong Super Lubricants is being held at Lake Havasu State Park’s Windsor 4 special event venue over the Nov. 2-3 weekend.

“We couldn’t be more pleased to have the opportunity to bring this level of event back to Lake Havasu City,” said Bob Brown, producer of the successful Lake Havasu Boat Show in partnership with the Lake Havasu Marine Association. “There has always been a close relationship between individuals who enjoy off-roading, boating and RVing, it’s just a matter of the time of year. Southwest off-roading and RVing are the recreations of choice in fall and winter that give way to boating and watersports in spring and summer, and nowhere in the country is that more evident than Lake Havasu City. It’s a natural crossover blend of similar interests.

“We expect to have close to 100 exhibitors representing a mixture of local, regional and national brands,” Brown continued. “There’s room for everybody at this expo, no matter how big or small. It’s the perfect environment at the right time of year for an outdoor expo like this.”

Along with the Sand and Water Expo, the site will be the host venue for Saturday’s “Fall Classic” International Chili Society (ICS) sanctioned chili cook-off competition featuring more than two dozen of the chili chefs. Tasting kits will be available for chili sampling and all proceeds from the cook-off benefit the Lake Havasu High School Athletic Booster Club.

Also on tap for the weekend is the FAB 40 Hot Boat Show & Shine presented by Performance Boat Candy featuring classic restored speedboats from yesteryear as well as the second annual Lake Havasu Paddlefest hosting 150 kayakers and stand-up paddleboarders during a two-day festival of games, fishing tournaments, activities and races from the Windsor 4 beach.

The Sand and Water Expo will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to dusk on Saturday andfrom 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Adult admission is only $2 and children 6 and under are free.
