Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix Experience Going On The Block

If the traditional July 4 holiday week dates for the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix have kept you from experiencing the historic Southwest Florida happening—we know that many folks prefer to stay close to home for the Independence Day holiday—your schedule roadblock has been cleared. As previously reported on speedonthewater.com, the 2020 event will be held June 20-28.

Better still—at least for one lucky bidder—Lucy Nicandri, the executive director of the annual Sarasota Grand Prix Festival that benefits Suncoast Charities for Children, has to put together a “Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix Experience” package. And it will be auctioned off during the Speedonthewater.com/Offshoreonly.com Key West Bash set for November 7, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Sandbar Sports Grill.

Dubbed “Get Your Motor Running At The 36th Annual Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix,” the package includes:

• Three nights (June 26-28) at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota, the host hotel for the event.
• Two VIP race-day viewing tickets (June 28).
• Two tickets to the driver/sponsor party (June 26).
• Two commemorative Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix T-shirts.
• $100 gift gertificate to the Columbia Restaurant.
• $50 gift card to Tommy Bahama Restaurant.
• $50 gift card to The Westin.

All you have to do is get yourself to Sarasota and—of course—have the winning bid at the auction, the proceeds of which go Key West-based Samuel’s House, a nonprofit organization benefitting homeless women and families.
