Dubbed “the world’s first fully exposed carbon fiber production hull” by its Ontario, Canada-based manufacturer, the Paragon Super Sport 28 from Carbon Marine will be on display at the 2016 Miami International Boat Show (Feb. 11-15). The 28-footer is powered by a 627-hp V-8 outboard engine from Seven Marine and has space for 11 passengers, according specifications supplied by the company.

According to the company’s Allen Barrie, “fully exposed carbon fiber” means the hull has not been painted or gelcoated, so the final finish is one of pure carbon-fiber fabric in its classic pattern. Without its 1,094-pound Seven Marine outboard engine mounted on an Armstrong Nautical bracket, the 28-footer with an 8’ 4” beam weighs 3,000 pounds. Fuel capacity is 130 gallons.

Features include Uflex hydraulic steering with a “paddle shifter” and a Latham Marine steering pump, Lenco trim tabs, a Fusion audio system with JL speakers, Twin Marine upholstery, Seadek flooring, Lumitec lighting and more. The boat will be at the Miami International Boat Show docks in slip No. 560.

Price is $294,000.
