Skater to Showcase Two Cats and a V-Bottom at Miami Boat Show

Along with Fountain’s V-bottom, which is being powered by twin Mercury Racing HP700SCi engines, Skater founder Peter Hledin confirmed that the company is bringing a 388 and a 46, both featuring a pair of turbocharged Mercury 1350 engines. Skater will be in the same space on the main aisle outside of the convention center as it’s been the last couple of years. Tommy Hofstetter and the crew from Skater Nation are going to be on hand as well.

“I’ve been going over to Skater a lot to see the boat being built,” said Fountain, a fan of sit-down-style V-bottoms. “I’m getting really excited to see it. I can’t wait for boating season up here. I really think the 700s are going to be a cool package for this boat.”

Editor’s note: Look for a complete feature following the build of Fountain’s 402 V in the upcoming March/April issue of Speed On The Water magazine.
