The general public will get its first full look at the latest creation from Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats in Bristol, R.I., during the upcoming Florida Powerboat Club Key West Poker Run. But in the meantime, owner Dave Scotto and Outerlimits production manager Dan Kleitz sent us a few preview images—by design nothing that will spoil the surprise—of Scotto’s new SL 50 V-bottom. The third SL 50 model produced with a low-profile deck, the stand-up 50-footer boasts a recently completed and typically spectacular paint job by Mark Morris of Visual Imagination in Peculiar, Mo.

“We’re looking forward to running to Key West,” said Scotto, whose previous Outerlimits was an SL 50 that turned heads at the 2013 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Central Missouri. “I think people will appreciate seeing this boat there for the first time.”

A pair of color-matched, power-output-switchable Mercury Racing 1550/1350 engines will power Scotto’s SL 50. The new 50-footer is among the first go-fast boats to be equipped with the latest addition to the company’s QC4v line of turbocharged engines.
