Sneak Peek: New Team Gotta Go In Paint At Stephen Miles Design

Come May, you may get a chance to see Canadian Dave Scotto’s new Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats SL 50X—the “X” is for the 50-footer’s extended cockpit—powered by dual calibration Mercury Racing 1550/1350 engines on the water in all its splendor. Until then, the owner wants to keep the full reveal of the 50-footer, his second from the Bristol, R.I. custom high-performance boat company, dubbed Team Gotta Go IV under wraps.

But in the meantime Stephen Miles of Stephen Miles Design in Owensboro, Ky., sent us a few images—with the owner’s permission, of course.

“This is the first boat Steve has painted for me,” said Scotto. “He’s like family. He has kept me feeling so involved in the process, so together with him in all the graphics decisions.

“This could be my last performance boat, but I can’t guarantee that,” he added, then laughed. “Outerlimits is in great shape with Brian McLaughlin as sole owner and if they come up with something great, well, you know me.”
