Sonic will add a 39-foot-long center model to its line-up, according to a press release from Frisini Motorsports, the parent company of Sonic, Spectre and the Frisini custom performance-boats. The new model will be based off the Spectre 36-foot center console model, but will incorporate a few new design elements.

“It’s a little of both,” said John Cunningham of Frisini Motorsports. “We will be extending the 36, but with a brand-new stepped bottom and a changed deck.”

Production of the 39-footer, tagged the 39 PCB (Performance Console Boat) is scheduled to begin in September 2011. Base price for the boat with a pair of 300-hp Mercury Verado outboard engines is $199,000. Base price with triple 300-hp Verardo outboards is $218,000.
