With the acquisition of Powerboatnation.com, the owners of Speedboat magazine are planning to expand their online presence while promoting their print publication.

“We have been the staple of the powerboating sport for more than four decades, and we’re really excited to expand the availability of this treasury of content to our audiences through Powerboatnation’s platform,” said Ray Lee, who co-publishes Speedboat with marine publishing veteran Chris Davidson, in the release. “This is a significant move that will allow us to bring a universe of exclusive powerboating content to our worldwide audience.”

Lee confirmed that the former Powerboatnation.com ownership and management team will not be involved in the future Speedboat venture with the Internet property.

Said longtime Speedboat magazine editor Brett Bayne, “There’s a great strategic alignment between Speedboat and Powerboatnation’s capacity to put our rich repository of content in front of millions more fans. The synergy will be outstanding.”
