Sunday Fun Day: Dave Patnaude

My favorite thing to do by boat on a Sunday is to go to one of the few waterfront restaurants in the Toms River (N.J.) area for a relaxing and enjoyable lunch. Rafting up somewhere is something I do now and then, but my preferred activity is going dining by boat.

The ultimate enjoyment is going out at dusk to watch a beautiful sunset with my girlfriend, Brooke. To me dusk is the most amazing time to spend on the water.

I have changed up my boating lifestyle quite a bit. I sold my 36-foot Concept center console—I owned a 37-foot Outerlimits before that—and my current boat is a used Monterey we have in stock at Coty Marine. My preferred boat is a 28- to 32-foot Monterey bow rider.

Editor’s note: Dave Patnaude is the president of the New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club and recently became the director of sales and marketing for Coty Marine.
