Husband and wife team Craig and Cynthia Belfatto captured its first two P1 SuperStock USA Championship victories of the year in Pahokee, Fla., last weekend, but it was the Pro Boat duo of Andy Biddle and Tracy Blumenstein who came out on top by winning four races over the course of the weekend.

Stormy skies and humid conditions greeted the teams as they prepared to race on Lake Okeechobee for Rounds 2 and 3 of the P1 SuperStock USA Championship. Both rounds were being staged in Pahokee after Round 2 was rescheduled from Daytona Beach when rough seas forced racing to be cancelled.

In Saturday’s qualifying session, Pro Boat came out on top in a close battle with the newcomer team of Keith Barco and Alison Sergeant in Boat Wrench—and in the opening race Pro Boat notched an easy win thanks to the pole position.

But it was a different story in the next race as the Belfattos took the honors in the Livorsi boat, besting Pier 57 and Cl-Alpha, which put on a great battle for second place with the father and son team in Pier 57—Bill and Elijah Kingery—edging out the husband and wife team in Cl-Alpha, Gene and Paula Weeks.

Saturday afternoon thunderstorms forced the cancellation of the third race of the day. With crews returning on a cooler Sunday morning, Pro Boat took home another win after battling with Tom and Jason Morton in Morton Water, another father and son team.

In the fourth race, Livorsi notched its second win of the weekend as the Pier 57 and Cl-Alpha boats battled for second place again. This time, Cl-Alpha secured the runner-up spot after some immensely close racing. Pro Boat picked up its third victory in the fifth race and again took home the honors in the sixth and final race of the weekend.

With three teams finishing on level points for the Round 3 races, the overall podium positions for the event were decided using fastest lap times. After Pro Boat, Boat Wrench was awarded the second-place points followed by Pier 57 and Cl-Alpha.

Here’s what the overall P1 SuperStock USA Championship points looks like heading into next event in Cocoa Beach, Fla. (Aug. 17-18): Pro Boat 54 pts, Livorsi 45 pts, Morton Water 43 pts, Pier 57 43 pts, Cl-Alpha 38 pts, AO Coolers 37 pts, P1 Marine Foundation 31 pts, Boat Wrench 30 pts.
