The Mystic Experience
For the third year in a row, Mystic Powerboats will host a Saturday lunch run for its customers in Key West, Fla., in early November. At least 15 Mystic luxury center consoles and high-performance catamarans from the DeLand, Fla., custom boat builder are heading to the city at the end of the road as part of the Florida Powerboat Club Key West Poker Run fleet. Most will depart Thursday from Miami with the rest of the group.

A down day between offshore powerboat races, Saturday is ideal for the Mystic affair. While the Florida Powerboat Club always schedules something fun, casual and well-attended for Saturday, Mystic has taken to organizing its own customer-based luncheon at the Stock Island Yacht Club. It’s a short run for sure—about 15 minutes—from Key West Harbor to the Stock Island venue, but it’s a cool little Atlantic Ocean trek for a mellow lunch with a great group of people.
Does that sound like something you’d want to do? (I’ve done it both times and, trust me, it’s a cool way to spend part of your Key West Saturday.) You can—and you don’t even have to own a Mystic or be the guest of someone who does to get an invite.
The winning bidder for the Mystic Experience and a guest may get the opportunity for the ride of a lifetime in this turbine-powered 50-foot catamaran.
