Thunder On Cocoa Beach Update: Race Schedule And Live Coverage

The final act of Thunder On Cocoa Beach, the first event of the six-race American Power Boat Association Offshore National Championship Series, will play out today in four races with 59 boats spread across multiple classes. All races off the Central Florida waterfront community will be broadcast live via the Powerboat P1 Facebook page, starting with all of the bracketed (top speed-limited) categories—Classes 1-7—at 11 a.m.

The plan is run the rest of the classes on the five-plus-mile course as follows:

•Race No. 2—12 p.m.
Super Stock, seven laps, 52.5 miles.
Super V Extreme seven laps, 52.5 miles.
Pro Stock V six laps, 45 miles.

•Race No. 3—1:30 p.m.
Super Cat, eight laps, 60 miles

•Race No. 4—3 p.m.
Class One International, nine laps, 71 miles, five teams.
Vee Extreme. seven laps, 52.5 miles.
