“We finally got permission from the boss—we will be back for 2015,” an ecstatic Harrison said in a phone call this morning after a meeting with Blood River Landing owner Joey Fontenot.

Harrison immediately posted the good news on the Tickfaw 200 Poker Run Facebook page, stating: “The boss gave us permission come rain, shine, sleet, hail, divorce, baby momma drama, sickness, broke boat, hangover, etc.”

As reported in a previous story on speedonthewater.com, the possibility of the two-day, 200-plus-mile poker run coming to an end after 27 years was floating around. Fortunately, for the loyal Tickfaw participants, that was not the case.
