Virtual Boat Show To Feature Mercury Racing

Though most of the powerboat brands included in Brunswick Corporation’s upcoming Virtual Boat Show, July 21-22, likely will fall below the radar of rabid go-fast boating enthusiasts, the upcoming online happening will feature the entire product portfolio—engines and accessories—of Mercury Racing. The news was announced this morning in a press release from the publicly traded, Mettawa, Ill., parent company of Mercury Racing and Mercury Marine, which also will be prominently featured in the online show.

Still in development, the show platform will be hosted on the Brunswick website. Visitors will be able to log on for the entire two-day, live event. (Brunswick will release log in details in the near future, according to a company representative.) The show will enable visitors to interact with all brands—on their own time— and “engage with brand teams who will be on-line to answer questions,” according to the release.

Following the live event, there will be an additional 60 days of on-demand content for attendees “to continue to engage with Brunswick’s brands in a fun and interactive atmosphere,” the release stated. Other noteworthy Brunswick partner-brands to be featured included Fusion Audio, JL Audio, Raymarine, SeaDek, Seakeeper and Simrad.

“Brunswick has the largest portfolio of the marine industry’s most recognized brands,” said Lauren Beckstedt, the Brunswick Boat Group  Business Acceleration chief marketing officer, in the release. “So a virtual show gives our brand fans an easy way to see the complete line-up and get personal attention.”
