What a Pair: Alabama Boater Gets Matching DCB M35, Sunsation 34 CCX

Longtime performance boater Scott Oldnettle is catching a flight from Alabama to Las Vegas today. From there he and his fiancé, Suzanne, are driving to Lake Havasu City, Ariz., where they will participate in this weekend’s Monster Bash Poker Run.

But before registering for the event organized by Lake Racer LLC, which also produces the Desert Storm Poker Run on the popular Lake Havasu, Oldnettle is going to take delivery of his spanking new DCB Performance Boats M35 Widebody catamaran powered by twin Mercury Racing 1100 engines.

The new boat, which DCB’s Tony Chiaramonte water tested on Southern California’s Lake Elsinore earlier this week, features a bold dark blue gelcoat adorned with black and yellow stripes along each hullside as well as flanking the thick gray stripe down the center of the deck. The same color scheme, although a bit subtler, was used on Oldnettle’s other new boat—a Sunsation Boats 34 CCX powered by twin Mercury Racing Verado 400R engines that was delivered in late July.
