Countdown To Miami 2022: Huski To Unveil Second Class 1 Victory Raceboat

Thanks to the Class 1 Huski Racing team, offshore racing fans will have something fresh to ogle during the Miami International Boat Show. The team has dressed the 47-foot Victory catamaran it purchased from the former Miss GEICO outfit in its own graphics, and the boat will be displayed outside the Miami Convention Center during the February 16-20 event.

Throttleman Steve Curtis, who will run the 47-foot cat with driver Carlos de Quesada this season, will be among the Huski team representatives at the show. The Huski Racing exhibit will include samples of Huski Chocolate milk and Huski Chocolate protein drinks.

Earlier this week, the team spent two days testing its 50-foot Victory catamaran dubbed Huski-Allegra. The boat debuted at the 2021 American Power Boat Association/Union International Motonautique Offshore World Championships in Key West, Fla., and wil run alongside the 47-footer in the Class 1 ranks this season.

Captured here during this week’s test sessions, Steve Curtis will be among the Huski Racing team representatives at the Miami International Boat Show next month.

The cockpit crew for the 50-foot Huski raceboat has not been announced.

“We are excited to unveil our new Huski Racing Class 1 boat at the Miami International Boat Show,” said Curtis. “This is a great sign of what’s to come for Class 1 as enthusiasm and interest grows across the sport, especially with multiple international teams looking to join. We are anticipating a strong fleet of Class 1 boats at the first race in Cocoa Beach, and we’re looking forward to releasing our full race calendar very soon.”
