Countdown to Miami 22: Midnight Express Excited To Unveil New Model

The team at Midnight Express Boats in Miami is moving a mile a minute at the moment getting ready for next month’s Miami International Boat Show, which is scheduled for February 16-20. And with eight boats scheduled to be part of the show—six in the water at Sea Isle Marina and two in the Miami Beach Convention Center—there is still a lot to get wrapped up, including a brand new model that Midnight Express plans to unveil at the show.

Lesly Fuentes, who handles sales and marketing for the luxury performance center console builder, said the new boat is expected to fill the gap between the company’s red-hot 43-footers—the 43 Open and the 43 Solstice—and its largest model, the 60 Pied-A-Mer. Other than that, the news has to wait until the show opens.

What can be shared is that Midnight’s new model will be in the water at Sea Isle Marina alongside five other boats, including two 37 Open models, one 43 Open model and two 43 Solstice models. In the convention center, where Fuentes and company owner Eric Glaser are most likely to be available for sales questions, Midnight is going to have a 37 Open and a special edition 43 Solstice that was built for Eric Glaser and his brother, Harris, to commemorate it being the 100th 43-foot model produced by the company.

“We’re excited about Midnight’s presence at the show this year,” Fuentes said, adding that prospective buyers can call in advance to schedule demo rides at the show. “We have plenty of boats for demos and the 100th 43 is over the top. Just wait until you see the graphics. We’re using a lot of exposed carbon fiber. It should be a real show-stopper. We have a feeling the all-red 43 Solstice with quint Mercury Racing 450R engines we’re going to have in the water also is going to be an all-around show-stopper.”

Fuentes said several of the boats, including the 100th edition 43’ Solstice, are signed up to participate in the Florida Powerboat Club’s Miami Boat Show Poker Run the following week. She also said that the company currently has more than 50 boats on order, including eight of the new model that is being revealed at the show.
