“We can’t begin to describe the amount of energy and enthusiasm we are experiencing here in Englewood Beach with the announcement of our partnership with the owners and team at NMB,” said Ray LaBadie, the board’s first vice-president, in the release.

Englewood Beach is entering is sixth year as the host venue for the Offshore Powerboat Association races. (With last year’s Waterfest cancellation, the OPA worlds moved to Morehead City, N.C., for 2020.)

“Our entire organization has been working hard to build on the momentum we experienced from the record-breaking event in 2019, and we know this year is going to be epic,” said Steve Gardiner, the president of the Englewood Beach Waterfest board, in the release. “With all the support from our board, volunteers, and the local and expanded community, we are seeing levels of excitement and engagement that are momentous.”

Located in Little River, S.C., North Myrtle Beach RV Resort and Dry Dock offers a “one-of-a-kind luxury camping experience with 134 extra-large, paved campsites, 58 wet slips” and more. The facility also includes dry storage for as many as 350 boats and is under expansion with 107 new campsites. The business is the title sponsor for the Stock V-class NMB RV Resort racing team of Kirk Hanna and Mark Rinda.

The resort also is committed to back the event next year.

Said Jenn Johnson, the resort’s marketing manager, “North Myrtle Beach RV Resort and Dry Dock Marina is absolutely thrilled to be the Keystone Sponsor of the 2021 and 2022 Englewood Beach Waterfest and OPA World Championship Powerboat Races. This is the first opportunity we have had to be partnered with such an established event.”

North Myrtle Beach RV Resort and Dry Dock Marina will be well-represented on the racecourse in the late-November Englewood Beach event.
