Following Friday’s Ribbon Cutting, Big Thunder Marine Will Debut Donzi 41 GT At Lake Race Party

While the team at Big Thunder Marine has been operating out of its new showroom in Lake Ozark, Mo., for a couple of months now, the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the remarkable facility at 3401 Bagnell Dam Blvd., is being held this Friday at 11:30 a.m.

According to Jeremy Anderson, general manager of Big Thunder Marine, owner Fred Ross is going to be on hand with many local dignitaries and business associates to showcase the building and its boater-friendly surroundings.

“We’ve been working at near capacity in the showroom for more than a month, the only thing we still need to set up here is our merchandise area and that should be done soon,” said Anderson, who has been quite busy between the showroom, a recent website redesign and managing the four facilities—the new location, the Big Thunder marina and service center in Gravois Mills, the Wake Effects dealership in Osage Beach and Glencove Marina in Lake Ozark. “We’re having the ribbon-cutting ceremony this week, but we’re not doing a big open house, per se. We’re planning to really show off the facility on Thursday, May 31, as we’re hosting the Lake Race Festival of Speed event here and it’s going to be a good one with several must-see boats on display.”

Anderson said Big Thunder Marine, which is title sponsor of Lake Race (read the story), is going to unveil the all-new outboard-powered Donzi Marine 41 GT, display a few new models from Fountain Powerboats—a 39 NX center console, a 34 LS center console and a 32 Cat—and, most likely, showcase the Washington, N.C., company’s V-bottom built to challenge the kilo record. He added that he expects Reggie Fountain to be on hand for Lake Race weekend through June 2.

Anderson also said now that the highway-visible showroom is functional, the next expansion project is already in the works as the Glencove facility is getting an additional 11,000-square-foot building and a 7.5-ton overhead crane with the intent of focusing on high-performance boats.

“It’s going to be a state-of-the-art facility for Tony and his team to work on the high-performance products we sell and service,” Anderson explained. “We also just added Tret Robertson, who brings a ton of high-performance experience from his years with OuterlimitsFactory Billet and his dealings with MasterCraft.”
