Frisini Completes First 30 Vendetta Open Bow

One of many models coming out of the Frisini Motorsports facility in Fort Pierce, Fla., is the new open-bow version of the Frisini-branded 30 Vendetta. The company behind the Spectre Powerboats and Sonic Boats lines, Frisini’s first open-bow 30-footer was delivered this week to Hillsboro, Ore., dealer, Oregon Custom Marine (OCM).

Tim McDonald, owner of OCM and OCM of Lake Havasu, said he plans to show off the company’s stock boat, which is equipped with a Mercury Racing HP600SCi engine, in Oregon for a few weeks before hauling it south to Arizona for the Lake Havasu Boat Show and Desert Storm Poker Run.

“I’m very excited about the open-bow Vendetta—it’s going to be a winner,” said McDonald, adding that the stylish boat reached 84 mph out of the factory without any dialing in. “We have the closed-deck model, which is a fantastic boat, but I think the open bow is going to be our bread and butter. Don’t get me wrong, we’ll sell some of the hot rods with a 700-hp package or something like that. It’s just that the open-bow style is a more family-oriented package. And starting with an 8.2-liter engine (MerCruiser’s 8.2 Mag), the boat will be in the low $120,000 range.”

McDonald expects the four-step V-bottom to be one of his best sellers, especially at Lake Havasu where a boat of its size should be able to handle anything the lake can whip up as well as serve a purpose when it comes to entertaining on the lake, in the channel or at the sandbar.
