“Today is the culmination of nearly a decade’s worth of effort on our recreational marine engine series, which began well before our first MV8 was built in 2010,” said Paul Ray, the president of Ilmor Engineering, in the release. “Reaching the 10,000th MV8 engine is entirely thanks to the extraordinary efforts of our engineering, production and support teams, who have collectively made Ilmor a significant player in the marine industry.”

“We congratulate our engine partner, Ilmor Marine, on this significant milestone,” said Terry McNew, the president and chief executive officer of MasterCraft Boats, in the release. “MasterCraft is committed to being best-in-class by building boats that are superior in quality, innovation and performance. Ilmor has been a key partner in delivering on that promise by providing cutting edge and reliable high-performance engines exclusively for MasterCraft.
