Inside SOTW Mag: Chuck Goes To Key West

Oklahoma’s Chuck Seitsinger is used to hearing, “Holy shit, that’s Chuck, the Street Outlaws guy” as he walks down any given street. It’s become normal to him. Yet during the Florida Powerboat Club Key West Poker Run in November, he heard it—with a delightful twist—while he was visiting performance-boating’s favorite city for the first time and walking the tavern-rich environment of Duval Street and the docks at the Conch Republic Seafood Company.

Street Outlaws dignitary Chuck Seitsinger (second from right) was in awe over the Key West Poker Run during his first visit to the southernmost city in the continental U.S. Photos by Kevin Johns copyright Instant Memories Photography.

“Wait, are you a boater?” That conjecture doesn’t usually come from fans of the Street Outlaws television series on Discovery. Then again, most of the people who recognize the man inside the Chuck Seitsinger Racing The Death Trap Mustang normally want to discuss Street Outlaws and cars—not boats.

That was hardly the case in November as Seitsinger strolled around Key West for a few

days with his friend and fellow Oklahoma native, Kevin Johns, a frequent speedonthewater.com contributing photographer.

The two started their trip by joining Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats representatives for the ride from Miami to Key West in the very first Nor-Tech 460 Flyer, a bright blue beauty powered by quad Mercury Racing 450R engines.
