Kicker Marine Audio Sponsoring Party At Lake Havasu NGK F1 Race

Thanks to its local dealers and its longtime Southwest region manufacturers rep group, Kicker Marine Audio is returning to Lake Havasu City, Ariz., for this weekend’s NGK Spark Plugs Formula 1 Powerboat Series (Oct. 15-17), which features high-powered racing excitement in three classes over two days.

The team from Kicker Marine Audio is sponsoring the Friday night party during this week’s Lake Havasu Classic Outboard Championships NGK F1 races.

According to a press release from the Stillwater, Okla.-based company, Kicker Marine Audio is sponsoring a Friday night Beach Party from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the London Bridge Beach. Fans are going to be able to mingle with the drivers and crews to learn more about the teams and their racing equipment. Amid great music—broadcast through Kicker equipment—a vintage boat display, kids’ activity zone, museum exhibits, food, beer garden, vendors and a reunion social for past racers, attendees can enjoy the free open-to-the-public festivities.

The NGK F1 event is part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the founder of Lake Havasu City, Robert McCulloch, Jr., who was the first to initiate the outboard championships at Lake Havasu in 1964. The race quickly became a tradition at the lake, drawing competitors from every corner of the globe for high-stakes cash and prizes.

Kicker Marine Audio—and its local dealers, Wired 4 Sound and Ron’s In Your Ear Audio, and vendors—have long been active in Lake Havasu as well as at the Desert Storm Poker Run, which Kicker has been the title sponsor of since 2018. This NGK F1 event gives the company and music fans the opportunity to mix high-speed racing with high-octane sound.

“Kicker Marine Audio finds kindred spirits in the performance boating community,” said Jeremy Bale, the company’s brand manager. “This group of racers and fans may be introduced to Kicker through this event and some may certainly know the company from its decades as a mobile audio leader, no doubt used in their tow vehicles. Lake Havasu has been a good location for us with longtime dealers, distributors and installers, and we enjoy getting together and engaging with our customers and friends at these events—and making new friends. We’re happy to support the Seebold family in this race.”

Dan Murphy of MurfCo. Inc.—Kicker’s manufacturers rep group that sets up distributors and dealers in the Southwest region—is teaming up with Lake Havasu’s custom installer Wired 4 Sound’s Jeff Cuvelier for the event. Murphy and partner Frank Zepeda’s Boom Toon, a “vintage” 30-foot Starlight 1986 riverboat that was transformed into a runabout double-decker party barge, complete with a slide and party poles, will be at the docks. The Boom Toon will join Cuvelier’s Rinker Flotilla deck boat. Both are equipped with top-of-the-line Kicker speakers, subwoofers, amps and more—and both boats emphasize the company’s tag line of “Livin’ Loud!”
