New SOTW Mag Features Two New Skaters, DCB M37R, Coverage Of 13 Events And More

Featuring a couple of stunning new Skater Powerboats catamarans, a closer look at the new DCB M37R Widebody, a Q&A with the women of Mercury Racing, an extensive recap of the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout and more, the latest Speed On The Water digital magazine—2020 Issue No. 4—is now available to download for those who have a subscription. If you don’t already have one, you can register for an account here then subscribe to the issue (and access all previous 42 issues) once you’ve confirmed your account information.

With more than 13 events spotlighted in the interactive magazine, the comprehensive 100-page issue includes coverage on everything from the BFD Fun Run, the Exotic Run and the Chattanooga River Run to the Emerald Coast Powerboat Poker Run, the Texoma Throw Down and the Lake Champlain Poker Run. There are also a couple of pandemic-cancelled events that still happened in Michigan highlighted—the Boyne Rumble and the unofficial Skaterfest, both of which showcase some incredible images from chief photographer Pete Boden, including the cover shot of David Schaller’s Mavrik II Skater 388.

So, if you’re part of, or want to be part of, the Skater nation, you best be downloading the issue ASAP for more on Schaller’s 38-footer and Rob Turner’s Turner Up Skater 46. Strike that. If you’re a performance boat enthusiast who has been having event withdrawals, this issue can help with that and maybe even provide some guidance on a new event to try in 2021.

Also included in the issue is a timely column from Shaun Torrente, the two-time defending F1H2O world champion who recently started competing in the U.S. Super Stock class in a new Doug Wright catamaran with his good friend, Eric Belisle. The teammates have been successful in the only two events of the offshore racing season and look to continue their success at the OPA Worlds later this month by “putting in the work.”

Another fun read is the story written by Cherilyn Noack of Teague Custom Marine, who made the most out of her first trip to Lake of the Ozarks in 15 years by supporting her father, Bob Teague, who was one of five inductees into the Bob Morgan Memorial Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Hall of Fame, and experiencing Super Cat Fest, Performance Boat Center and more.

Hopefully you get a chance to sign up for the magazine and enjoy this issue (or any of the previous 42 issues in our archives) any time you want. Please let us know if you have any questions or problems with the subscription service. And don’t hesitate to share any feedback with us via email or on social media.
