Nor-Tech Adds ‘Charity Of The Month’ As Part Of 30th Anniversary Celebration

Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats is doubling down on its considerable philanthropic efforts of 2020—from food drives to safety mask production/purchase and distribution—this year as part of its ongoing 30th anniversary celebration. Every month in 2021, the Fort Myers, Fla., company will donate $1,000 to a specific Southwest Florida charity and is encouraging its clients to follow its lead with a goal of raising $10,000 for each organization.

“With (company co-founder) Trond Schou leading the way, the team at Nor-Tech decided to kick off a ‘Charity of the Month’ campaign, starting this month with the Blessings In A Backpack organization, with the sole purpose of giving back to our local community,” said Henrik Margård, the high-performance powerboat builder’s vice-president of manufacturing. “This is something that we are passionate about. We want to continue our charitable giving efforts while involving the boating community.”

For May, the company has selected the Ronald MacDonald House of Southwest Florida as its featured charity. That designation will to go Southeastern Guide Dogs the following month. In July, the Tommy Bohanon Foundation will be the company’s featured charity.

Fundraising for all four charities will be part of Nor-Tech’s 30th anniversary celebration at the Westin Cape Coral Resort, which will include a gala dinner with a silent auction.

Benefitting charities from August through December have not yet been chosen.

Added Margård, “We look forward to partnering with our customers and the entire marine industry to support the good that is going on in our community.”
